Foreign buyers shall apply for the Brazilian tax Id Card named CPF in order to buy real estate properties in Brazil. If married, the CPF shall also be applied for the spouse, regardless of the marriage asset regime.

All documents issued abroad shall be notarized and stamped with the Hague Apostille – and sworn translated to Portuguese in Brazil.
