Windsurf and Kitesurf

Windsurfing, as you may know, is a sport practiced on a board with a sail attached to the middle, and is moved according to the speed of the wind and waves. The windsurfer is positioned on one side of the board and uses the sail and the mast to reach speeds of up to 80 km/h! One of the objectives of the sport is to perform acrobatics in the air.

Kitesurfing is practiced with a smaller board and a kite attached to the kitesurfer’s waist. The wind propels the kite, causing the board to plane over the water. The athlete has a control bar to set the course and perform maneuvers. This sport can also be practiced on rivers and lakes where there are no waves at all.
